High Cut Magazine, Super Junior," We Are One"

We are one.

Generally, in a group, the member who makes an appearance in a CF or drama receives the profit earned from the appearance. But Super Junior and 2PM are the exceptions. [Omitted] Super Junior agreed with each other that regardless of who earns more, it is only right for the members to receive the same salary, because they are a team. Thus, in Super Junior, the member who earns the most from individual activity pays for the members’ late night food. At the beginning of the debut, Leeteuk, Kim Heechul, and Kangin, became popular on variety programs which resulted in them earning more money than the other members. They tried to share their salaries with the other members. But, Yesung strongly resisted saying, “you hyungs suffered a lot to earn that money. How are we supposed to receive it?” But Kangin persuaded the other members by saying, “We are a team. If I did this to only better myself, why would I be in a team?” The members quarreled about the issue and then finally decided that the person who earns the most will pay for their late night food. When each member says what he wants to eat, the member who earns the most would pay for all of the food. Whether it is pizza or Pig’s trotters, the members can eat various foods. However, because it would cost too much to go out to eat, they only eat food that can be delivered. But recently, they’ve been using courier service for delivery.

" My Liking For Hang Ga-In Has Never Changed" Surprised Confession of Lee Teuk

SuJu’s leader Leeteuk has once again confessed that his love for Han Ga-in is still unchanged.
On the recent filming of MBC Every1’s “Super Junior’s Foresight”, singer Kim Taewoo and KCM appeared as guests and taught them how to sing in a soul-capturing way.
The 3 MCs (Leeteuk, Shindong, Donghae) brought up some clues for Kim Taewoo and KCM, who are already very close, to find out about each other’s ideal type. In the end, KCM found out that Kim Taewoo’s ideal type is Kim Hyesu, and conversely, Kim Taewoo discovered that KCM’s ideal type is Han Jimin.

Later on, Donghae, who became a one-day MC in Yesung’s stead, picked out Leeteuk’s ideal type, and when the photo of Leeteuk’s ideal type from previously surfaced, it caused the studio to be in a commotion.

Leeteuk placed her photo in front of his chest, declaring that his heart has not changed, (but) when he realised that there was a small hole on Han Ga-in’s forehead in the photo, he frowned in response, thinking that it was an injury, turning the recording studio into a sea of laughter.
The details about Donghae finding out Leeteuk’s ideal type will be revealed on the 30th of March, Wednesday at 11PM, on MBC Every1’s “Super Junior’s Foresight”.

[Update]
We’ve received reports that the Korean media had mistranslated Hangeng’s comments. Leeteuk’s comments, therefore, were a response to the incorrect content.

Hangeng’s original comments were: “Last time, I also had the experience of objects being thrown on stage. Luckily, it did not hit me. But now, it doesn’t matter anymore.”

The interviewer asked: “So would you give him a call and ask how he is later on?” Hangeng replied, “I will definitely call and ask. Why was he so careless, getting himself hit [by something] by other people.

Many top Korean idols send an encouraging video message to Japan!

On a special SBS broadcast titled, “Keep Your Energies High, Japan!“, many of Korea’s top idols gave their words of support to their Japanese fans who are ravaged by the earthquake.
Rain, SS501’s Kim Hyung Joon, Brown Eyed Girls, TVXQ, Super Junior’s Leeteuk and Shindong, 2PM, SNSD, CNBLUE, MBLAQ, 4minute, B2ST, and SHINee’s Minho and Taemin appeared in the clip and gave words of encouragement to tell Japan not to give up and still hope for the best.

2PM’s Junsu said, “What we need the most are your support and interest. Please keep supporting the issue.“, while SNSD’s Yoona stated, “If we gather our love and sincerity, we can find the power and bravery to recover from a tragedy.

Super Junior wants you to have a “Taste of Korea”!

Earlier this month, we shared that Super Junior was selected as honorary ambassadors for Korean cuisine, and now they’ve finally revealed a CF featuring Leeteuk, Shindong, Heechul, and Yesung.  With their characteristic friendliness and humor, the four shared their “secret” recipes for bibimbap, a Korean dish that mixes rice, fresh/cooked vegetables, meat, and gochujang (chili pepper paste).

What went into their bowls?  Leader Leeteuk made bulgogi bibimbap (marinated, barbeque beef); Shindong created samgyupsal bibimbap; Heechul made beef bibimbap; and finally, Yesung made chicken bibimbap.

At the end of the CF, the members encouraged everyone to try bibimbap before digging into their own bowls.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Super Junior without some funny outtakes at the end, and as usual, the boys did not fail to provide some giggles.  Towards the end of the clip, Shindong breaks out into a short, but nonetheless comical rendition of Secret’s “Madonna“, before abruptly cutting himself off with a stern, “Gil Ra-im-shi“.  He walks off camera singing “Appear” by Kim Bum Soo, and the rest of the members follow suit, with “Secret Garden” references abound.  Heechul parodies the squeaky, “You’ve got a text” message, and Leeteuk closes with Kim Joo-won’s famous quote – “Since when has our audience been so pretty?

MBC Every1 Apologizes to Super Junior’s Leeteuk for Using the Term “Sponsor”

MBC Every1 recently issued a formal apology to the Super Junior leader for using the term ‘sponsor’ over his account of being in a relationship with an older woman during his trainee days in the February 8th episode of Super Junior’s Foresight.
The production team behind the aforesaid talk and variety show is regretful and apologetic towards the hardworking leader for using the tagline “Leeteuk’s female sponsor” during that particular episode in the program where the members were asked on the matter of dating older woman, to which Leeteuk shared his own story of dating someone who was way older than him even before he debuted as a member of Super Junior.

As you may know, the Super Junior members are hosting their own show entitled Super Junior’s Foresight, where they invite famed seniors from the entertainment industry as guests in the show for quite some time now. This resulted to a lot of negative comments in various sites, which made him respond “Please don’t put in misleading article titles for the sake of promoting the show. It doesn’t feel good,” through his Twitter on the 9th of February.

It can be remembered that during this episode, Leeteuk bravely admitted his past relationship, and even said that the older woman ‘not only provided everything he needed from head to toe, but would also occasionally receive pocket money from her when he goes to the salon and for shopping’.

“During my trainee times I was a younger man who received special treatment from an older female. (She’s) not only more mentally matured, but also more financially stable as well,” remarked Leeteuk honestly.

As this is a sensitive topic for idols, largely due to the negative connotation of the word “sponsor” in the entertainment industry, netizens, fans and viewers alike had divided reactions and comments regarding the matter. Therefore, to address the various concerns of everyone, a representative from the production team behind Super Junior’s Foresight finally went out of their way to express their remorse and say sorry not just to Leeteuk, but also to Super Junior’s fandom by saying,
“(It) has deviated from its original meaning and the word ‘sponsor’ was perceived in a negative manner. The title of the promotional material was wrongly selected and misleading. The beautiful love story from the past has been distorted and became an issue on the internet, and because of that I’m sorry to Leeteuk who was upset from the matter.”
This surely is a delicate issue, but knowing the forgiving and kind Leeteuk, this shouldn’t be that much of a trouble or worry, even to their loving and supportive fans in any way, as this is already a thing in the past.
