High Cut Magazine, Super Junior," We Are One"
We are one.
Generally, in a group, the member who makes an appearance in a CF or drama receives the profit earned from the appearance. But Super Junior and 2PM are the exceptions. [Omitted] Super Junior agreed with each other that regardless of who earns more, it is only right for the members to receive the same salary, because they are a team. Thus, in Super Junior, the member who earns the most from individual activity pays for the members’ late night food. At the beginning of the debut, Leeteuk, Kim Heechul, and Kangin, became popular on variety programs which resulted in them earning more money than the other members. They tried to share their salaries with the other members. But, Yesung strongly resisted saying, “you hyungs suffered a lot to earn that money. How are we supposed to receive it?” But Kangin persuaded the other members by saying, “We are a team. If I did this to only better myself, why would I be in a team?” The members quarreled about the issue and then finally decided that the person who earns the most will pay for their late night food. When each member says what he wants to eat, the member who earns the most would pay for all of the food. Whether it is pizza or Pig’s trotters, the members can eat various foods. However, because it would cost too much to go out to eat, they only eat food that can be delivered. But recently, they’ve been using courier service for delivery.

Super Junior wants you to have a “Taste of Korea”!
Earlier this month, we shared that Super Junior was selected as honorary ambassadors for Korean cuisine, and now they’ve finally revealed a CF featuring Leeteuk, Shindong, Heechul, and Yesung. With their characteristic friendliness and humor, the four shared their “secret” recipes for bibimbap, a Korean dish that mixes rice, fresh/cooked vegetables, meat, and gochujang (chili pepper paste).
What went into their bowls? Leader Leeteuk made bulgogi bibimbap (marinated, barbeque beef); Shindong created samgyupsal bibimbap; Heechul made beef bibimbap; and finally, Yesung made chicken bibimbap.
At the end of the CF, the members encouraged everyone to try bibimbap before digging into their own bowls.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Super Junior without some funny outtakes at the end, and as usual, the boys did not fail to provide some giggles. Towards the end of the clip, Shindong breaks out into a short, but nonetheless comical rendition of Secret’s “Madonna“, before abruptly cutting himself off with a stern, “Gil Ra-im-shi“. He walks off camera singing “Appear” by Kim Bum Soo, and the rest of the members follow suit, with “Secret Garden” references abound. Heechul parodies the squeaky, “You’ve got a text” message, and Leeteuk closes with Kim Joo-won’s famous quote – “Since when has our audience been so pretty?”

The MCs had asked Hee Chul

Heechul then shifted his topic to a more lighter note, as he gave a piece of hilarious advice to SISTAR and SECRET – ”Idol groups need to fight a bit. I’m going to go home later and fight again!”

SECRET & SuJu’s Heechul responds to accusations of ’self-plagiarism’
On March 9th, SECRET’s Sunhwa and Song Ji Eun guested on MBC’s “Radio Star” and addressed accusations claiming that “Madonna” was a carbon copy of “Magic“.
The girls performed “Magic” and “Madonna
Sunhwa explained, “Both songs are the works of the same composer. The choreography is also the same.” When asked by MC Kim Gura about whether she was embarrassed at all by the similarities, Sunhwa replied, “Not at all. We thought of it as our own unique color, so we were very proud.”
The talk of ’self plagiarism’ then shifted attention over to MC Super Junior’s Kim Heechul. The idol MC was asked about the similarities between “Sorry Sorry” and “Bonamana,” to which he confessed, “Both tracks were composed by Yoo Young Jin. ‘Sorry Sorry’ was #1 on the Taiwanese charts for 38 weeks in a row, so ‘Bonamana’ was like an extension of ‘Sorry Sorry.’”
Since MC Yoon Jong Shin is also a composer, he was asked to share his thoughts on the issue. “It’s their own song so it shouldn’t be a problem. I do think that they consciously composed it like that since the previous track had done so well.”

Super Junior’s Heechul asks fans to refrain from throwing presents
Through an interview with Star News on March 7th, Super Junior’s Heechul discussed his recent injury, which he received during the group’s concert in Shanghai. Heechul also gave a polite request to Super Junior’s beloved fans.
Heechul shared,
He concluded, “There are fans who throw presents at the other members, but I hope they will stop that. They have to stop in order for Super Junior to present the best performance possible, and for fans to enjoy that experience.”

Heechul shared,
“During the middle of our ‘Super Show 3‘ concert in Shanghai, I headed towards the side of the stage in order to get closer to my fans. A fan threw a present, which ended up hitting the left side of my face. Although it wasn’t a big injury, it ripped the skin under my eye.Heechul was unable to attend the ending stage for the concert that night, and because his injury couldn’t be covered by makeup, he wasn’t able to attend the recording for MBC’s “The Night of Shining Memories” on March 8th.
After arriving in Korea on the 6th, SM Entertainment was able to reach a hospital (despite it being a Sunday) and got me proper treatment.
I’m not worried about my injury so much as I am about this happening again to another member. I know that it’s all because our fans love us so much, but I hope they’ll realize that if accidents like this continue to occur, we cannot show everything we’ve prepared for them on stage.”

The accident was reported to have occurred while the boys were on their way to the airport after successfully completing their “Super Show 3” concert. Dozens of fans in cars began chasing after Super Junior’s van, which resulted in the collision.
