Super Junior’s Leeteuk celebrates 2,000th day since debut with fans

In celebration of Super Junior’s 2,000th day on April 28th, leader Leeteuk left a special message for E.L.F.s through his personal Twitter.

On the 29th, he tweeted, “2,000 days since our debut. I still have so many things that I want to do, it just isn’t enough yet. To all of the E.L.F.s all over the world that have given us so much love! I would like to genuinely thank you. I love you.”

Leeteuk also shared more good news, “We placed #1 in pre-orders for our Japanese singles and were also chosen as national brands by BCC. We’ll become even more humble and work even harder.”

Fans replied, “Congratulations on your 2,000th day, let’s go all the way to 10,000 days together!”, “Super Junior forever”, and “I will always be an E.L.F. with Super Junior.”

Thus, in Super Junior, the member who earns the most from individual activity pays for the members’ late night food. At the beginning of the debut, Leeteuk, Kim Heechul, and Kangin, became popular on variety programs which resulted in them earning more money than the other members. They tried to share their salaries with the other members. But, Yesung strongly resisted saying, “you hyungs suffered a lot to earn that money. How are we supposed to receive it?” But Kangin persuaded the other members by saying, “We are a team. If I did this to only better myself, why would I be in a team?” The members quarreled about the issue and then finally decided that the person who earns the most will pay for their late night food. When each member says what he wants to eat, the member who earns the most would pay for all of the food. Whether it is pizza or Pig’s trotters, the members can eat various foods. However, because it would cost too much to go out to eat, they only eat food that can be delivered. But recently, they’ve been using courier service for delivery.

Super Junior-M (SJ-M) will appear on Mickey Huang’s UFO Radio programme as special guests for the Chinese-Korean education section. The members pre-recorded the programme on 1 April,
Donghae who is about to film an idol drama made the most of his time to learn Chinese, while Mickey Huang was interviewing other people, he opened the Chinese-Korean electronic dictionary he carries around, working hard with his head down to practice Chinese.

Yesterday Mickey Huang also presented the members with EasyCards, tickets to the International Flora Expo and shopping bags, which would allow SJ-M to comfortably tour Taipei. SJ-M is diligently learning Chinese, recently they have made great improvements, Ryeowook says that when he went to buy bubble tea, there weren’t small cups that could be bought, so he changed and ordered a medium cup, also requesting “a little more pearls”.

SuJu’s Choi Si Won and Donghae to begin filming for their Taiwanese drama

After making an announcement almost two years ago, Taiwanese cable station ‘Gala Television‘ (GTV) has confirmed that filming for their new drama, “Glamorous Challenge“, will commence on March 31st! The Taiwanese drama attracted international ELF attention after it was revealed that Super Junior members Donghae and Choi Si Won were casted for it.

Since it’s been put on the backburner for two years, most of the original cast and director have left the production. But thankfully, Si Won and Donghae are still in it and they will be acting alongside Taiwanese actresses, Ivy Chen Yi Han (陳意涵) and Bianca Bai Xin Hui (白歆惠).

Niu Cheng Ze (鈕承澤) who was to have directed the drama, now becomes the producer while Feng Jia Rui (馮家瑞) will take over the director’s seat.

Despite their top A-list billing, both of them have asked to be treated like everyone else. Though they’ll be staying in Taiwan for four months, they haven’t asked for any special requests, like staying in hotels and extra security.

“Glamorous Challenge” is a live-action adaptation of a Japanese manga called “Skip Beat“, and it’s about a girl who gets betrayed by her long-time boyfriend. In an attempt to get revenge, she debuts as a celebrity; the storyline unfolds with various romantic adventures and hijinks.
No word yet on when the drama will be aired.
